M.Sc Biological and NeuroPsychology, 2000-2003
Marieke did her master's in Bio- and Neuropsychology, at Utrecht University. She started as a researcher at TNO investigating perceptual issues concerning sighting and aiming devices in 2009 she became Department Head at TNO Rijswijk, after that she had a number of management functions within TNO. Since 2011 she is department head, Brain, Behavior and Cognition at Royal Philips; in this job she leads a team of 35 experts of neuroscientist and psychologists. Her interests are: creating new ideas to innovate mental health, behavior change and neuroscience. The work she and her team are doing try to address better and easier the diagnoses of mental health, and improving the quality and effectiveness of the management and treatment of mental diseases and neurological disorders. Another interest is to engage people in their health to make better health choices.
